INTRODUCTION
London Training Consortium is an established training provider in Edmonton, North London. We have an excellent track record of teaching English (speaking, listening, reading and writing) to students, young and old and our students have achieved great success.
Open Doors is your gateway to success in using English. We are a small, friendly organisation, who teach in an holistic way, ensuring the rapid progress of students, while also taking care of your needs while in England. We have experience in teaching students from 18 different countries; some who speak almost no English at all when they arrive.
We provide courses at different levels, to accommodate your individual needs, with a tailor-made syllabus comprising either basic or business English.
Whatever your motive - career development, further study or personal interest - English courses with us will take you to the next level. English is the language of the future - and you can learn English and live it where it began - English in the UK!
As well as taking care of your English language needs, we can provide accommodation for the duration of your stay, with an approved English speaking family, so you can taste exactly what life in England is like.
Courses take place during the day and in evenings and at weekends to suit your needs.
Each lesson lasts 1 hour and you can choose a maximum of 16 hours per week.
Host families are all situated within a reasonable distance of Open Doors and are regularly inspected to be sure they offer a friendly and comfortable service.

Achieve your goals
With expert, qualified teachers, small classes, high levels of individual attention and engaging lessons, you can be confident that whatever you hope to achieve at Open Doors, we can help you get there – fast.
Choose what you want to do – and when you want to do it
We understand that you’re an individual, and you want the choice and flexibility to suit your own personal study needs. This is why we offer flexible enrolment dates and an even greater range of courses.
Our introduction to English course, ‘Start English’, offers basic help with English speaking, listening, reading and writing, using a variety of techniques and methods, so you can extend your language learning through topics of personal interest. Our small classes allow you to focus on particular areas you want to improve. You will be able to practice your English in a ‘safe’ environment, with other students of a similar level. You will learn to develop your confidence in using English through communicative games, role plays, individual, pair and group work exercises.
Our intermediate level course, ‘Build Better English’, enables you to improve your pronunciation and grammar, increase your vocabulary, become more confident and be able to read and write different styles of English. As well as games, exercises, group, pair and individual work, students will have the opportunity of improving your conversational English, written skills and learn about England.
‘English for work purposes’ courses are tailored to help students familiarise themselves with skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, job-hunting skills and the world of work in England. The course will improve your written and spoken English, grammar, punctuation and pronunciation through exercises, correction, games and small and large group work. Individual tuition can be provided on request.
Our Centre is set in the heart of North London, from which you will be able to see real London life. All our staff are here to help you and you will find a warm, friendly welcome.
The centre has excellent facilities and resources to support your studies. Classrooms are fully-equipped and you will have access to on-line resources in our computer suite which offers free email access.
