The value and contribution of activities that present young people with new experiences; provide challenges to develop self-esteem; allow exploration
andopportunity to 'work with others' and that are enriching and diversionary in nature have been much championed for many years. Such activity can develop the 'softer' outcomes that assist us in becoming more employable 'team players' with the confidence to fill jobs and roles in many workplaces.
During the spring of 2010, a new facility for providing 'Positive Activity' interventions is being developed based in Epping Forest, North London. 'Project Paul' has a short course programme based around an afternoon and overnight residential with opportunity to experience a stay in a traditional North American inspired tipi, cook and eat your meal around the campfire and participate in team building activities in this amazing forest edge site.
Participants can gain an accredited ASDAN short-course award.
In partnership with The London Borough of Newham Education Department we are pleased to be supporting this project as an element of our P2P project.
